There is nothing quite like the off-mountain, country elegant atmosphere of our turn-of the century resort in the heart of “the greatest ski town in the Universe”, according to Ski Magazine. Just 15 minutes from 133 trails and 18 lifts and terrain for every skill level, The Bethel Inn Resort offers easy access to downhill skiing and riding and avoids the on-mountain hustle and bustle associated with ski area lodging. A complimentary ski shuttle makes a short drive even shorter. Nearby Sunday River is renowned for its extensive snow-making capability and extensive trail network while Mt. Abram is known as “Maine’s Friendliest Mountain” with-family friendly, very affordable lift & lodging ski packages. The resort’s extensive cross country ski and snowshoe network starts out the back door of the main inn building and the health club offers an outdoor heated pool (to 90 degrees) offers a relaxing solution to tired muscles at the end of an active day. These one, two and three bedroom accommodations include all the amenities of your own home. Located on the golf course/cross country ski trails featuring views of Maine’s White Mountains and are within walking distance of the Main Inn dining facilities and the health club. The Townhomes are perfect accommodations for families, couples and friends vacationing together. Complimentary wi-fi is available throughout the resort but, because of our 200 acre layout and 14 separate buildings, it can sometimes be intermittent in some areas. It is always available in the public areas of the Main Inn building. Originally built in 1913, our course remained nine holes of little recognition until 1988 when it was redesigned and expanded to 18 holes by the renowned architect Geoffrey Cornish. Today our 6,663 yard, par 72 course takes maximum advantage of the mountain vistas and natural beauty of the area. Large well trapped greens, tree-lined fairways and four tee positions make play challenging for golfers of every ability. America’s Greatest Golf Resorts magazine has rated our layout among the top ten resort courses in all of the Northeast and Golf Digest magazine has awarded us with 3 1/2 stars. Home of the New England PGA Fall Festival Pro-Am, the State of Maine Championships, and a stop on the North Atlantic Tour, our course is respected as one of the best in New England.
