Welcome to Coastal Downeast Maine and Acadia Village Resort, a three-seasons resort area with New England tradition. Ellsworth, a gracious town with hospitable people, is enhanced by historic architecture and surrounded by an extensive lake region. Originally settled in 1763, it is located at the head of the Union River and at the Crossroads of Downeast Maine. Stretching from the lake region north of Ellsworth toward the most easterly portions of our nation, the Downeast Acadia region encompasses some of the most striking stretches of Maine coastline. Much of the coastline's primitive beauty is preserved within Acadia National Park, the oldest national park east of the Mississippi River, the only coastal national park north of Florida, and the second most visited of all our national parks. VILLAS: These one-story duplex units offer space and privacy for our owners and guests. Because they are can be locked-off (split into 2 smaller units), they can be used in different ways depending on the owner’s specific needs. The entire 2 bedroom/sleep 8 unit is nearly 1300 square feet of spacious living area with double the contents. There are 2 fully-furnished kitchens, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 dining room/living room areas, 4 TVs, 2 VCR/DVD players, and the list goes on and on. The sleep 8 units (AB) offer much-needed space and privacy for owners and guests to enjoy while they are here. In the common area entryway, there is a fullsize washer + dryer available for use for our guests. If you are staying just on the “A” side, you have a living room complete with cathedral ceiling and sleep-sofa, a beautiful bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a bathroom which has a relaxing jet tub to enjoy. This 1bedroom/sleep 4 unit has a large spacious kitchen complete with dishwasher, and all the kitchen items to use if cooking is part of the vacation plan during your stay at Acadia Village Resort. The “B” side, also a 1 bedroom/sleep 4 unit, has the same items (except there is no dishwasher, sorry!) in a little different layout. The kitchen has a more compact design, and has a living room/dining room combined space. There is the same queen-size bed in the private bedroom. The bathroom also has the jet tub/shower combination.
