In the White Mountains of eastern Arizona, Pinetop-Lakeside's motto is "Celebrate the Seasons". Roundhouse Resort provides an ideal base of operations for year-round outdoor adventure: The log-sided mountain homes feature fireplaces, whirlpool spas, large fully equipped kitchens, covered porches and private yards. In wintertime, resort visitors can head for the slopes at Sunrise Ski Resort, nearby cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails, snowmobiling or sledding—but also among the best-loved pursuits is to soak in a whirlpool and then curl up by the fireplace with a hot drink and good book. During the summer, activities turn to more than 30 interconnecting, multi-use trail loops. Numerous vistas, plentiful wildlife and natural springs pepper the area; hiking, biking and horseback riding tracks include the Ghost of the Coyote, Ice Cave (actually a 52-degree spring) and Panorama. The Pinetop area maintains a tradition of local festivals, which include Native American arts, bluegrass, car shows and arts and crafts. Gaming enthusiasts can hope to hit it big at the nearby Hon-Dah Casino, while fisherman and hunters can hit their limits in the area’s pristine beauty. Pine Units: Pine Santa Fe & Grand Canyon Units: The Grand Canyon and Santa Fe Pine units include a full kitchen (includes dishwasher), one queen bed, one queen hide-a-bed, and will sleep four guests. Downstairs units have decks. Pine Apache Units: The Apache Pine units include a full kitchen, one queen bed, one queen hide-a-bed, and will sleep four guests. All have decks.
